Description

The Southbend 1194604 Convection Oven Four-Coil Burner Assembly operates on the concept of having a regulated supply of gas in the form of intake ports to the part that then burns in a controlled flame over its circular shape. This element produces the required heat energy, which is then pumped by the fans inside the skillet to ensure that the temperatures are constant all over the cabinet. The assembly will be placed at the bottom of the heating chamber and will be firmly attached to the burner support bracketry to ensure that it is in the position to align with the primary orifice.

    How to replace an oven element by yourself

Firstly open the oven door and remove the racks inside it. Keep them aside. At the bottom, you will find the element which is called as bake element. When you look at it you will find it is secured with screws, so that it will not move from its fixed position.

    Using the screwdriver try removing the screws and securing them safely as we need them again to fix them back with a new one. After removing the screws, the wires will be connected to a terminal so do not remove it in a hurry. Gently disconnect the terminal and remove it.

    Now take out your new element from the package, and place it back at the terminal. Fix the wires of it with the terminal and fix it back with screws. After ensuring you have fixed it correctly. Place the racks back in place and close the door and plug the plug into the cord.
