The Structural Concepts 72458 Thermo Expansion Valve is a refrigerant control element for use in compatible systems. It controls the quantity of refrigerant that flows into the evaporator based on the temperature, and pressure in the cooling circuit. The valve will adjust the flow of refrigerant to keep the cooling process as desired as operating conditions vary. It is installed in the refrigeration line between the liquid refrigerant supply and the evaporator part. It works with the compressor, condenser and evaporator as a part of the refrigerant metering assembly.
