It assists as a regulator, rotating to regulate the quantity of air combined with gas prior to combustion, to regulate the nature of combustion and flames. The shutter is made to go on the air intake opening of the burner with the screw and washer provided. The assembly consists of the shutter plate and hardware to fasten it, making the assembly easy to remove to allow easy adjustment & facilitate the operation of the burner and efficient combustion of fuel.
