The Berkel 01-400002-00025 Lid Plexi works by forming an airtight cover over the vacuum chamber to enable the process of extracting the air. This transparent part enables the visual observation of the sealing cycle at all times without changing the pressure difference required to preserve food. The cap is fitted onto the top of the sealed packaging machine, which pivots on a back hinge assembly to open and close when required. It is made of clear acrylic and is the main barrier between the internal and external atmospheric pressure and the within-space condition in the operation.
