Description

The Blodgett 8595 Oven Element Assembly 5000W 240V converts electrical energy into heat by enabling current to pass through its resistive coils at 240 V producing 5000W of thermal output. It operates by heating components that heat air within the oven cavity and the convection system then moves the now heated air around the food. This is an element assembly that is placed in the rear or side interior of the oven, where the blower and airflow path intersect it. It is fitted inside the cavity of the oven and connected to the electrical contacts of the unit.

Step1: Disconnect electrical power to the oven and allow all components to cool completely.

Step2: Remove the oven panels necessary to access the heating element assembly.

Step3: Label and disconnect the wires from the existing element.

Step4: Remove the mounting hardware and carefully take out the old element assembly.

Step5: Position the element assembly in the original location and secure it with the mounting hardware.

Step6: Reconnect the wiring according to the oven wiring diagram.

Step7: Reinstall the panels, restore power, and verify the element heats properly during operation.

  • What maintenance is required for the Blodgett 8595 Element Assembly?

Inspect heating element regularly for signs of wear, warping, or breakage and ensure all electrical connections remain tight and corrosion-free. Keep the oven interior clean to prevent grease buildup that can reduce heating efficiency. Proper maintenance ensures even heat distribution, improves cooking performance, and reduces the risk of electrical failure or overheating.

  • What are common issues with the Blodgett 8595 Element Assembly?

    • Burned-out or broken heating elements.
    • Uneven heating or hot spots in oven cavity.
    • Reduced heat output or slow temperature recovery.
    • Element arcing or electrical shorting.
    • Warping due to prolonged high-temperature exposure.
