The BKI (Barbeque King) AB6424890S Halogen Bulb 40W 120V G9 is a lamp that generates light by passing an electric current through a fine tungsten filament that is contained in a small envelope of halogen gas that enables the filament to burn at a high temperature to produce bright light. The halogen cycle helps the current flow replenish the evaporated tungsten on the filament in a way that the output will be constant during its existence. It is fitted in compatible fixtures with a bi-pin socket, usually in under-cabinet lighting, accent lamps, cooktop or heating applications where a low-voltage bulb is required.
